How Creative Partnerships Can Increase Colleges’ Impact

Establishing a meaningful community in college can be a daunting and difficult task for any incoming student. However, it can be more complicated for those in unique positions, such as students who are veterans or parents, or who grew up in foster care or are incarcerated. Partnerships may assist institutions with reaching out to students who are often excluded.

To learn how your institution can help establish communities for students who are often underrepresented, join The Chronicle’s upcoming virtual forum.

Alex Kafka, a senior editor at The Chronicle, and Paula Pando, president of Reynolds Community College, co-moderate a panel of professionals who will explore ways to create creative college partnerships to aid students. The event will begin at 2 p.m. ET on September 6.

Hosts:

  • Alex Kafka, a senior editor at The Chronicle of Higher Education
  • Paula Pando, president of Reynolds Community College

Panelists:

  • Andrea Fortney, senior program coordinator for the Fostering Success Program at Colorado State University
  • Mike Haynie, vice chancellor for strategic initiatives and innovation and executive director of the D’Aniello Institute for Veterans and Military Families at Syracuse University
